A TEXT POST

Second Group of Burmese refugees arrive in Japan

9 Burmese refugees consisting of two families flew from Bangkok to Narita on the 13th October. This is the second group of Burmese refugees accepted into Japan under the third country resettlement programme promoted by the UN, following the first group who arrived on the 28th September. The Burmese families who arrived a couple of weeks after the originally scheduled date (28th Sept) postponed their departure as two of their children had developed a fever.
